Caltrain, take me away...: If at all possible, take the Caltrain Baby Bullet as much as you can to get to work. What better time to wind down after work, or enjoy a sunrise before work?
Consider this: I used to spend $300-350 on gas every month driving. This month, I got a commuter check of $100 to apply to a $145 monthly pass from Zone 1 [SF] to Zone 4[San Jose]. I spent only $45 this month commuting!!!
No hassle, more excercise, peace of mind, great views, time to blog, time to catch up on phone calls, time to sleep, I can apply my makeup on the train in their clean bathrooms [the baby bullet's]. Try it...
By the way, Caltrain will be adding another Baby Bullet in the morning and evening. Now all they need to do is scrap the slower models and beef all running trains to the baby bullet or a real bullet.
Caltrain is the way!: Headed down the Peninsula? This is the way to go! It parallels Hwy 101 and goes through nearly every town center from SF to San Jose. The Bullet Trains are fancy, with tabletops and ample outlets. Plug in a laptop for work or play cards and drink suds on your way to the Giants game!
