the mussels, frisee salad, and skate were awesome. The bread was warm and the wine did the trick. I enjoyed my meal and would return.

Little Things Mean a Lot: I was a bit dissapointed when I had dinner at Brasserie Jo last week. The ambiance is pretty much dead on, remenicent of a 1950's french brasserie. But why were they playing acid jazz and french techno on the sound system?
The service was good but the plates coming from the kitchen were missing some of the little extras that are part of French Cuisine. I ordered a charcuterie plate. It was missing a sauce and the obligitory sliced bread to spread the terrines and pates onto. When I ordered the steak au frites. The steak was served with a nice compound butter but the fries were served dry. If I were working in this kitchen I would have been embarrassed to send this dish out to a customer. The garnish was dead! not just wilted...but brown and curled up like it had be scraped from the bottom of a cooler and stuck on my plate as an afterthought.

Horrible experience. The seafood we ordered was SPOILED, and when we tried to complain, we got a big arguement from the so-called manager. My husband and I were very upset. Finally they agreed to let us order something else, and when our other entree came, a beef dish, we were equally disappointed. And the place is way overpriced !! Do yourself a BIG FAVOR and don't go here.
