About:Jeff Page and Ken Hughes have run this restaurant in a series of spaces since 1996. Throughout the changes, their gastronomic ethic has remained the same: simple top-quality steaks with minimal but adequate fixings. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes are good. The dinner salads and desserts are passable. But the filet mignon, porterhouse and other cuts cannot be beat for quality or price. Seafood and chicken entrees offer choices to the beef-shy. This is a smoke-free restaurant with a full bar.

I will never eat here again. I told the hostess I was a party of one and she said it would be 15-20 minutes. After 20 minutes I inquired again and she said it would be another 20 minutes. 10 minutes later a manager comes over and said they will not be able to seat me because he didn't want to give up a table for one person. So I wasted 45 minutes waiting and then was asked to leave.

Lest you think it was anything I did, I was completely silent the whole period and sat in the waiting area the whole time. They were so short sighted that they lost me as a future customer, costing them more $$ than an eating companion would have made them.

    Take your business elsewhere.

The food is to die for! I higly reccomend the potato pancakes! I have been here several times, and have never been disappointed. The wait is indeed incredible, but they will serve you wine or drinks while you are waiting, whether or not you've found a spot amongst the crowd at the bar. It always turns out to be less a wait than what they say.

You Get What You Pay For: It's not cheap and the wait is often long because they don't take reservations, but the food is absolutely excellent. Everything is great, but the steaks are as good as they get. I don't mind paying for quality and the quality is commensurate with the price. The place is a little dark for my taste, but others adore the place for its ambiance as well as its food.
