| About: | A colorful display case of Indian sweets greets patrons at the entrance of this large, but very simple dining room. South Indian food is strictly vegetarian and a bit spicier than its northern counterparts. The signature dish of the region is the dosas, a thin rice crepe folded around several choices of fillings: sauteed potatoes, vegetables and onions. These are accompanied by coconut chutney and a lentil curry. Alcohol is not served here, but an espresso bar serves coffees and teas. Fruit juices, lassis, Indian yogurt drink and milkshakes are offered as well. |

The food there has been good everytime, but I wish it was a little less oily. I am a south indian, and the food there is definitely more like the real thing, but a little less spicier than what I get back in India. So food overall is great.
Service has been slightly poor for me. I am an indian college student and even worse, I look like one, so the waiting staff show an indifferent attitude when I go there with my friends. They have a sign saying open till 10 pm, but they stop seated service at 9.15 pm. You won't know that until you go there once at 9.15 and they tell you the kitchen is closed and tell you that "they have the right to refuse service". One time, we asked for one additional plate of onions and lime, and the waiter had the audacity to tell us to "finish what you have and we will bring more". I like fighting with the waiting staff, its fun to do while you enjoy the food.
