Cost pricey for the okay food. I love food and am quite a foodie. The food was mediocre not bad but not oh I want warm daddy's. Music good but be ready for the cover charge whether you have reservations or not. My tip sit outside in nice weather. Enjoy the appetizers because me and my girls went and although we ordered a variety of menu items all we enjoyed was the cornbread and hotwings. The greens were gritty (needed to be rinsed some more) if you want greens and cant cook open up a can of Glory. Drinks unique and strong which was a plus. Candied yams sweet but no real flavor (such as butter, cinnamon, nutmeg).
I think Warmdaddy's is more about the music then the food. Don't go thinking your going to be pleased with both. The music is good and the atmosphere nice but again the food is mediocre. Little flavor, nothing to stand out and make me want to return except for the music and atmosphere.
Will I return you ask? Yes but I will eat beforehand....
My date and I really enjoyed the food at warm daddy's....not to mention the band that was playing was off the chain!!! The appetizers arrived quickly but the food was a bit slow. We didn't mind because the atmosphere was great and it was cozy for our first official date. I'd go back if ever I return to Philly. Overall I'd grade it an A!!! The staff was friendly too!!!
Hot Daddys: Warm Daddys is a cool spot for blues and some southern food with a twist. Their corn bread is some of the best and the Salmon nuggets are a nice appetizer. The menu has just enough variety to offer something to everyone without being overwhelming. Not the most posh place in the city. I'd say it's somewhere between an after work dinner and second or third date kind of place. All in all, a pretty good place for a meal and some live blues.
Update: As of the first of the year Warm Daddys has closed its Front St location. Word is they will be opening in a new location nearby sometime later in the year.
