| About: | Marois Restaurant has to be one of Maine's best-kept secrets and despite a rather eclectic decor, has without a doubt, one of the best menus and food to be found in the northeast, including international and local/seafood cuisine. The dessert cart alone and presentation of food is well worth the visit. Lunches are delightful and the house wines delicious too. The service at Marois is what one would call very special and luxurious in this day and age. One should not expect to eat and run at Marois though, despite good service, food is cooked to order and served in order, so the eating experience is lengthy, but well worth the wait. Make reservations for better timing if going out afterward, perhaps to a theater or live mystery theater. I think Maine folks and those traveling through would do well to check this restaurant and don't leave your palate at home. You will be pleasantly surprised with the divergent menu and admirable service. Don't forget the dessert cart and presentation of desserts! Fantastic! |
