| About: | Despite the tuxedo-clad wait staff this place manages to be upper upscale without seeming overly pretentious. Inviting leather couches surround a cozy fireplace, making its cigar lounge a special place for enjoying a fine single malt scotch. All of its steaks come in generous portions and are large enough to share. Seafood options are offered. But most impressive of all is the wine list, which is big enough to come with Cliff Notes. Desserts include homemade ice cream. |

Great restaurant . Their Filet is amazing. Service is always great when I go.
Poor lunch, good service: We had four at lunch. Mine, the pork tenderloin sandwich was inedible. The pork was old, tough and cold. The "pommes frites" were strips of potato that were tasteless, underseasoned and oily. The cabbage slaw was simply inexplicable. Badly seasoned with some kind of nasty dressing. One steak came underdone. In the lobster salad, the lobster had been precooked and stored for who knows how long. It was both tasteless and rubbery. For the coffee service, I asked for Splenda and was told by the waitress that the wait staff had been trying to convince management to order some, but they had none. We tried to order the chocolate cake but were told that the kitchen must have gotten a late start and they had none. Did they not know they were a restaurant? Any way, a poor choice on our part. Save your money and go to Outback, at least they are not pretentious.
Lovely Mother's Day Brunch: Everything we ordered was phenomenal, absolutely amazing. I chose the Lamb Chops at the suggestion of our waiter and they were utterly sublime, melted in my mouth. The sides dishes were great (try the mushrooms). The restaurant was very busy and somehow, my water glass was always full and there was always someone nearby if you needed to ask for something. The bill for seven of us was just under $400--that's really quite pricey for our area, but I dare say it was well worth the expense. For Mother's Day Brunch they had a few specials that are not on the regular menu, everything was wonderful. Definitely need reservations though--keep that in mind when planning for a night out at Del Frisco's.
