When my A/C stopped working, I hurriedly called California Air conditioning in order to get it running again. I was told that the service call would cost $150 and that was exactly right.
What I got for $150 was 2 proposals:
1. $1360.00 to remove zoning system and rebuild air delivery system.
2. $6550.00 to rebuild Zoning and delivery system.
His explanation made good sense, and if I was rich,I would have paid $6550.00.
However, since I didn't want to spend that kind of money, I found the number of somebody that had worked on my A/C before (Mike, from Nyland). Mike wiggled the corner of the outdoor unit and it started working. He said that if it stops again, he will have to replace a switch. After several week my A/C is still working.
I suppose that my system would work better if I had paid $6,550.00 but it is working adequately the way it is.
I am not saying that the work provided by this company is poor. But since I am being pushed into picking a rating, I am going to have to say the service call was poor, because California Air couldn't get my current A/C system working.
