they will serve you undercooked fish, then shrug off the complaint.

went there with my 2 year old son 9/10/09

i oredered a cup of clam chowder, chicken tenders (for my son) and blackened salmon

the chowder was great, tenders were good but not exceptional

the blackened salmon however, was raw in the middle...i mean totally uncooked...like the cook was using too much heat, or rushed it. the waitress took her time coming to recheck on us (busy chatting in the kitchen) by the time i was able to complain, and they offered to have the cook reheat it, i was not willing to let my 2 year old wait for my meal to reaheat and for me to eat it as he was already done with his meal. when the bill came I was charged the full amount ... $33 to include $1599 for a blackened salmon I was not able to eat more than 1/4 of before realizing it was uncooked. when i asked the manager if they could do better on the salmon. he turned my $33 bill into a $30 bill

thats it... $3 off of a 15.99 salmon that i could not eat

i was expecting the bill to be in that range... and would have paid it happily provided i didnt encounter this health hazzard on my plate. i would have accepted half off... but $3 discount was a flat out insult.

the fact that they didnt either remove the salmon from the bill... or at least took half the price from it ensures that i will never eat there again.

the proper thing to do would have been to either comp that portion of the meal, or provide me with a gift card for the cost (ensuring that i would return to give the place a second chance). having worked in the food industry before and having a professional chef sister, and best friend (both NECI graduates) i know that there were a million better ways to handle the situation.

the health hazzard fish wasnt what will stop me from eating there in the future (the chowder was great i just wont order the salmon ever, ever again) it was the poor way the situation was handled.

this was simply horrible customer service

in addition to this review, i will post reviews on any site i come up to, and notify all of the people i know. if you are going to eat in the area. i would reccomend the salt hill pub (excellent food, superb service), bubbas (also overlooks lake sunapee), peter christians tavern (great service, good sandwiches/soup) , the millstone, and even pizza chef (worlds best pizza) . before i would even consider reccomending the anchorage to even my worst enemy

IF YOU LEAVE THIS RESTAURANT AFTER SUNSET, YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE PULLED OVER TO BE CHECKED FOR DUI. IT IS A MAJOR DUI TRAP FOR SUNAPEE COPS. JUST WANTED EVERYONE TO KNOW, DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE GLASS OF WINE WITH DINNER, OR YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT HASSLE ON YOUR HANDS. THE BOUNCERS ARE IN FULL CAHOOTS WITH SUNAPEE AND NEWPORT COPS. NOT THAT IT IS OKAY TO DRIVE AFTER EVEN ONE DRINK, BUT LET ME TELL YA, THESE GUYS ARE PRETTY GOOD AT FRAMING ANYONE LEAVING THE ANCHORAGE.

A Awesome night out on the Lake: The food was great along with the live Enterainment.
