I think Interstate Auto Auction is the best place to buy a car. It is exciting, they let you test drive the cars, and buy at a real auction. The prices were definitely wholesale. Over cars to choose from. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Just My experience, but I am wirtting this review becuase they went above and beyond....About 2 months ago in June my Jeep was totalled when a person drove through a Red light, (said they sneezed! and thats why they ran the red) and nailed me. I have been looking around at some good jeeps on craigslist but had a friend who had a bad experience getting stuck with a lemon.
First Impression: Excellent on the Phone..Ask As many questions as you want, because it was HUGE for me! They Answered all my question extreamly well. I called a bunch of times becuase I was buying online and I was curious if this was for real. They have one catch it's a fee to go through the auction. They also charge $1.00 on my credit card for online before i bid. I had to pay $260 for the fee, not bad. I saved $2,000 on the total price if I bought it on craigslist.
Pick Up: My Cab dropped me off around 3pm. I walked right in and out. The people I spoke with were friendly. They brought the Jeep right up to me and I was blown away.
Staff: Friendly, but not over the top.
Final thoughts I had a check for $2,600 from my insurance company. I got a nice Limited Jeep Grand Cherokee with good miles for $2,200.
I drove it home to Albany and just put in gas. It's been three weeks it passed inspection and I got and oil change. I will let you know if I have problems with an update.
I gave it 4 stars becuase I think they should let you buy outright not just through the Auction.
I agree with rick these people are just ripping people off.. the cars are junk plus the people that work there are rude!! not only you buying from them and yet the give you attitude through the whole process, i deffenitely will NOT RECOMMEND this place to anybody you might as well get a better condition car for the same price from Craighlist
This purchaser must have bought a car from the RED LIGHT sale at Interstate. They sell cars GREEN LIGHT with engine and transmission guarantees, and they sell RED LIGHT cars with no guarantee...usually these are donated cars sold for charities. Interestate is a solid company with a good reputation. I have had good experiences with them.
Jerry must work for them, BECASUE INTERSATE AUTO AUCTION SHOULD BE CALLED INTERSTATE JUNK AUCTIONS!!!!! THE CARS THEY SELL ARE ONLY GOOD FOR PARTS, IF YOUR LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET A CAR THERE FOR PARTS, 100% CLUNKERS, CANT EVEN USE THEM FOR A TRADE, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, JUNK, dONT BELIEVE ME, CHECK THEM OUT ON THE BBB, SEE THE COMPLAINS HOW THEY KEEP PILING UP. If you see someone talkiong good about this place they either work for them or, have been paid to lie on line. DONT LET THESES PEOPLE RIP YOU OFF!!!!!
