Ammons Sugar Shack

A couple of colleagues and I frequent Amon's Sugar Shack during our lunch break. It is a nice environment to relax and enjoy conversation without the noise and crowd issues that tend to be a problem if you go to larger restaurants during peak lunch times. We can always order and eat well before time to leave and get back to work within an hour. We usually get the daily lunch special, which is delicious and easy on the pocket. If you feel a need to cut lose and want to indulge in all the calories you can stand, then by all means try Amon's cajun cheese fries with ranch dressing. This is delicious!! Sometimes I go to Amon's just to order this side. On our way out we are always tempted by the glass counter of donuts. I have not tried all of their donuts or deserts, but of the ones I have tried I love the donut holes. Their cakes are great as well.
I also love the pictures they have around the restaurant, which are organized by decades. These are definite conversation starters that spark a lot of reminiscing and funny stories about the styles and fashion of the times. If you go check out the 80's decade...notice the young teen girls and their fashionable hair do's and clothing.

THE PEOPLE ARE SO NICE HERE!: The people are so nice here and they always have what i want they also make wedding cakes....and some awsome Douhnuts!
