User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsI have been taking my dogs there for over 20 years. Though the vets have changed during that time, I have always found them to be both knowledgeable and caring. I just recently lost a dog that was almost 15 years old after a long illness and our doctor even called after the loss to see how we were doing and to mention that he would miss caring for our dog.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsFor the most part the Animal Hospital is good, but they do have there "RETARDED" moments. I just got off the phone with them and am dumbfounded by their response. Had ordered from 1-800-petmeds, heartworm pills for both my dogs. No big deal right? Except for these idiots approved one dog electronically, but want me to come in and pick up a written script for the other. Both dogs tested at same time, results came back together, ordered meds to protect them from heartworms, which as every dog owner knows, they can be very deadly for dogs. Don't understand what they are thinking here. In the meantime, if my dog contracts heartworms due to their delay, (because now script has to be snail mailed in to petmeds)I will be looking for a lawyer to straighten those fools out.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBlackwood Animal Hospital has been taking great care of all my pets from fish, birds, reptiles, and my cat. They even fixed our pet goat once. Care is exceptional and prices are reasonable. Always seem to figure out what's wrong without running lots of expensive tests. We love our vets!!
