I would recommend if you are in need of a new or used vehicle. John Miconi was the best!!! Ask for him at the Beltline store!! He listens to your needs in a car/truck and works endlessly to aquire the best financing for you. Even if your credit is not the top of the line. I have purchased a car and a SUV in last 2.5 years from John Miconi and the service is great!! The only place where I get personal letters thanking me for my purchase and even BIRTHDAY card!! Now that is personal service.
I am very disappointed in the sales office in Moncks Corner, SC and the corporate office of Dick Smith Chevrolet. BEWARE, once you have paid for a vehicle, you are no longer important to them. Neither the service department not the sales department knew that the vehicle I bought DID NOT come with a spare tire, Their response was "you never asked." So, they expected the customer to ask about the spare. I equate that to having to ask if the car has heat or windshield wipers. I told them I was not comfortable with a vehicle with NO SPARE, their only help was to trade it in for a different car. NOT an even trade, NOT a fair trade but just a trade. I asked when it became common knowledge that the auto industry was not providing spares? They said the industry is moving in that direction? But not common. They couldn't tell any other vehicle that was sold without a spare. They did not have any idea, now I am stuck. Think before you purchase from Dick Smith. Be careful of what they DON"T tell you or you DON"T ask. They believe that it is my fault for not asking. I put it to them, if your daughter, sister, mother or wife were on a dark, isolated road with a blown out tire, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL. Think of the dangerous possiblities. I am thinking about it everytime I drive that vehicle. I say NO TO DICK SMITH AUTOMOTIVE GROUP. Shame on me for not asking? shame on them for not knowing or telling. Shame on you if you choose to deal with dishonest business people.
I purchased a car from Dick Smith. I had done a web search for the car. I was contacted by Aiken,SC about the car.It turned out the car was in Columbia. It would have been much easier for me to see the car in Columbia, as I live in Orangeburg. I purchased the car in Aiken on August 14th. It is now the 25th of August. The car was to have been taken back to Columbia for me to pick up. I find out today (25th) the car was taken to Columbia on Thursday or Friday the 22nd . I did not know this until after 5pm on the 25th when I called to see what was going on. All the person who sold me the car was he was sorry. This is service at the poorest level.
