they rake the vacuum hoses along the back of the car every time. Also, my wheels are scuffed from the tracks the cars run on. They could change the rags out a bit more as well
Does anyone know how a windshield could get pitted and scratched due to a car wash and hand wax? There were a lot of loose particles and smears on the windshield after the waxing was done. I tried to remove them later, only to realize that most of it was pitting and scratches. I'm puzzled, because I can't imagine how this happened. I only drive around town and I don't recall being behind a gravel truck. Was there was a hailstorm between late August and Sept 14, the last two times I brought my car in for a wash? The other question is how to fix it. I tried Bon Ami with no notable improvement.
I will never go to the puddle car wash again! They have ruined my windshield and scratched the paint on various parts of the car, mostly on the back door. I drive a brand new 07' Toyota rav 4, I am costantly inspecting my car for scratches and dents and such.
I noticed what they did to my car immediately, it seems like the were using a dirty towel to dry my car and there may have been small amounts of gravel and dirt on those towels. It seemed like they took sandpaper to parts of my car. I talked to the owner (Steve) and he said "oh no we run a touch free car wash , and you did that to your own car with an ice scraper" I went around the property with my camera and also found many of the employees with big rings, with diamonds and stones on their fingers while they are drying the cars, which I think definantly should not be allowed, in a workplace like a car wash! Please e-mail me if this has also happened to you at melissas_696@hotmail.com so that you and I can have proof this is happening to other people at the same car wash. Thank You,Melissa

i just got pitted in my new 08 maxima. my windshield was immaculate before going into the car wash. most likely it was because of that huge blower they have to dry the car. it can accelerate any sand or dirt particles just like you got hit by little stones on the highway. you see the way the blower can move the water up and over the windshield? thatst the same effect driving 50mph. i have to call my insurance.
