i really hesitated to write this, but have to say what needs to be said. The plain cheesesteak was pretty bad, and i mean the flavor, the ingredients, the look, the way it was cook,.... all bad..
Here's why, the bread is like a soft store type hamburger loaf, 3 pieces of minute steak, it was just cooked on the grill as a 3"x6" sheet and just laid on the loaf. i took pictures too, and it just wasn't appealing, then taking the first couple bites, it confirm my suspicions, ate about half and gave the rest to the puppy, so he enjoyed it
2 stars from the puppy, and ok bread for those who like it that way, but not me and the price is little cheeper than other places, so you get what you pay for.
looks like the same bread is used for all hoagies too, don't plan to try them.
It is simply the best sandwich experience you can ever have.
Eat there every time I go downtown--I usually split a Sanchez with my boyfriend. Stepping into that small, hoagie-perfumed room relaxes me instantly and that first hot bite is bliss. Great food and low prices are perfect for students.

Ummmm, WHO orders a completely plain cheesesteak? Did you hear the calls of, "lettuce, tomato? peppers onions? salt-pepper-ketchup? Those things are part of the sandwich. Would a Big Mac be a Big Mac with just meat and cheese? A new york city pushcart hot dog be worthwhile without mustard and onions or mustard a kraut? Just wondering...
hey, chef,,, next time meet you in philly,, and i'll treat to plain cheesesteak at tony lukes or larry's on 54th. |:+]
