The front staff is rude, and mean - I have been hung up on several times, and have been placed on hold for 20 minutes! When I go in to see the doctor I am asked to fill out ANOTHER form, even though I assure them my information has not changed AT ALL; when I see the Doctor, it is because I am very sick- the last thing I want to do is fill out MORE paperwork. When I ask why I need to fill it out when there are no changes I get a "We require updates to be done!" I originally used to see the Doctors in Newton Skylands Medical Group, Dr Kanes office. But I switched to this office because I now live closer to Lake Hopatcong; after several miserable visits to this office I have decided to drive the extra half hour to Dr Kanes where they treat me like a human being... with respect!! They also took the time to inform me that the "update that has to be done" can be completed right online, where I can complete it at home, type it up, then print it out to bring in with me!! The ladies at the front desk at Dr Kanes office are much more empathetic and make you feel welcomed each time you call. (with the exception of one or two, the lady with the blonde hair, I think her name is debra who works at the desk where you sign in - she should learn to smile.)

Skylands Medical Group is by far one of the best physician groups in New Jersey. The physicians are meticulous, highly skilled in all areas of family medicine. They always have answers to my questions, and take the time with each of my family's medical situations. I never feel rushed out of the office even if they're running behind. Their staff is supportive, detail-oriented, courteous and caring. I always refer and highly recommend this group to my family and friends. YS
