We've now dined here 3 times over the past 18 months. And we'll continue to do so. We happen to love Tapas. To find some in Chattanooga has been a very pleasant surprise.
Is it the best tapas in the world? No of course not. But it is certainly competently prepared, reliable, tasty, and even a bit inventive. Smoke Gouda Ravioli is one of my favorites. Paella is good as are the empanadas. Last night's scallops were also well done. We also have had good luck with the wines.
The service: very enjoyable actually. All three of our servers have been extremely friendly and personable.
Try for the round corner table in the window, on the far right side of the restaurant as you walk in. Despite being in the window, it's a cozy spot, even a bit romantic after dark.
The food here is excellent, by far the best in Chattanooga especially considering the price. The portions are slightly larger than appetizer size, and cover a wide variety of ethnicities. Three or at most four choices would probably be about right for dinner. Everything we have tried in a couple visits had been simply outstanding. Favorites for us are the Lamb Chops and the Moroccan Savory Pies.
The restaurant could be a little more comfortably arranged although the atmosphere isn't bad. The lighting is right, but the concrete floors make it feel a little less personal. They could also work a little on the table spacing, but really these are minor issues.
This restaurant is perfect for a casual date or a night out with foodie friends. It is unpretentious, but serves absolutely wonderful food.
From all the restaurants we have visited arround the world, this very cozy appealant restaurant is among our favorites, the quality of the food is compared with the best of Paris and New York. Is a must. Thank you for beeing there Terra Nostra.
