    we always go to the grill side, and enjoy watching the chef cook, but the last couple of time we have been, there has been less and less "show". the last time, i think the only thing our chef said was, "hello", and "do you want sauce". when we go to a japanese steakhouse, we expect a little entertainment with the meal. other than that, i have to say the food is great (best rice i've had) and there is plenty of it. we will be back, because the meal is really good, but i wish they would return to the way it used to be, with chefs that would interact with the costumer.

    The food is very good. Service is very poor. You tend to get a larger amount of food here than at Itchiban as well. My husband and I were once turned away because they didn't want to sit just two people at a table even though it was 30 minutes till close. We used to eat here weekly however we have really gotten past not having good service and started going to Itchiban instead. If you don't care about the service, or need refills on your drinks then you'll be ok.

    They could really benefit from a complete staff overhaul. Its glory days are gone.

    Where's the Service?: I used to be a fan of Shogun, but the last several times I've been, the service has been...lacking. I've had enough with the bad service. I don't care how good the food is. Nothing is worth that. I will NEVER be back again!
