User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have been "running" the River Road for 35 years and have watched the progress of Houmas House. The present owner has brought this glorious mansion to the splendor which it deserves. Even if you are not a fan of history, you will love this tour.
The grounds are fabulous as well. Hard to leave once you arrive.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI have been on many Antebellum tours, but this one by far was the best I have encountered. Our Tour Guide "Cinnamon" also known as Felicia was the epitome of a Southern Belle, and ever so beautiul and charming. I felt as though I were a guest not a tourist. It was a very interacitve hands on tour and you are allowed to sit and touch things in the home. My teenage son and I enjoyed our visit so much we didn't want the tour to end....
