I went to A Taste of Thai for lunch today and I was impressed. The service was a little slow at times, but I thought the food was good and reasonably priced. I had the chicken pad thai and I think it was only $7.50 for lunch. It came with salad or soup and I had the soup. It was a vegetable soup, pretty basic but tasty. Chicken pad thai was good - I got it 3 stars hot which was a little spicier than I expected - good flavor, though. I would recommend this place and will be back.
I've been here twice. First for pad thai, which came out a lumpy unbalanced mess. OK, this isn't san francisco, but even chains like pei wei absolutely beat the pants off this place.
B/c of its 'best in NWA' rep I gave it another shot: pad see ew, again a lump of overcooked noodles with none of the carmelized wonderfulness of the real thing.
Will not try again. Probably IS the best in NWA though.
Love the cute atmosphere of this place although it is small the food is the best!!!! And the owner is a very friendly thoughtful man!!!
