I had my 2008 Dodge 3500 Diesel truck at this dealer for service in September. I have had a problem from day 1 with the check engine light coming on intermittently. My truck had at that time about 65,000 miles. I drive alot. I had to have the front brake rotors replaced. The service department reprogramed the engine control module to no avail. 24 hours later the check engine light was back on. They also asked if I would like to change my fuel filter (usually have this done at oil change time) but I agreed. The price for that was $149.95!!! I get that done with my oil change at quick lube for $49.99. Go figure! They explained to me that Quick Lube mechanics are only $8 mechanics. Well it must not take a rocket scientist to change the fuel filter then. Now at 70,000 miles the "Perform Service" light is on in my overhead message center. I called these folks and they told me the maintenance that needed to be performed was $1200 and 2 days work. I called Bluebonnet Dodge where I purchased my truck....the service manager there said $300 and a couple of hours. You can bet my truck will never see Mission Chrysler Jeep Dodge again!!! Too bad... apparently Gunn Dodge sent all of their service information info to them...Gunn Dodge was a very good service departement.
WELL LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!
Went back to the dealership to see if the truck my father in law picked up on the 15th of october was fixed, They had it since friday it quit working and the dealership, MISSION CJD, Can't figure it out, (bet if some one looked at it with a scanner it might tell them something), waving dead chicken over the engine and rolling bones in front of the truck ain't working. My Father in Law can't get copies of paperwork he signed to purchase the truck from the sales manager unless he takes the truck as is. Lets see a brand new 2009 Dodge 2500 4wd auto tran crewcab extended bed fully loaded Cummins turbo diese. and after 2 days and less than 45 miles it dont work. YEAH RIGHT! And the trade in didn't get paid off until an hour after I called Chrysler Financial, and told the reps there if the vehicle traded in was not paid off by the time the bank holding the note closed for business today,( 29 OCT 2009, the trade was taken on OCT 12th). we would have tyo call the Local Police and report it as stolen because the dealership said that they already sold the vehicle to another person without a clear title. An Hour after calling 2 different divisions of Chrysler Financial, the trade in was MIRACULOUSLY PAID OFF! HALLELJUA!!! Next is to see whate kind of LEMONADE we can make ftom the big LEMON of a truck. (So far this has turned into a $80,000 deal.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! What a great place to purchase a new vehicle. I was able to get what I wanted and at a great price with every available rebate possible. Everyone in the place from entering the parking lot until leaving was attentive and very pleasant. The best part of the entire adventure was Walter Koch, quite possibly the best Salesman I have ever dealt with, they have made a life long customer out of me and I will refer everyone that is looking to buy a vehicle to MISSION CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE!!!
