I too had the same experience with the light starch issue and the price at this particular cleaners. I travel throughout most of southern Texas and beyond. The girl i was dating at the time asked me to drop off her clothes at this cleaners, so while i was there asked them to laundry and light starch two pairs of jeans. Not only was the counter lady a little perturbed about the amount of clothes my girlfriend had to have dry cleaned, she was just rude. When i picked up my jeans-2 pair- they were Heavy(Welded) Starch. Then the real shocker came when she told me the bill was $9.78. that to me is unheard of. I was using the Hotel cleaners who were charging 5.00 per pair of jeans and they got it right every time and they picked up from the hotel in morning and delivered to hotel by 5:00pm. I use cleaners all around the state and regularly use one in Houston. Normally the price is about 2.50 per jean. when I told them how much i paid at Comet they about fell out. I too spend about 700.00-900.00/year on cleaners, you would think that they would do all they can to insure quality, price, friendliness service. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
Now i have moved here full time and searching for a New Cleaners.
This review is what happened to my fiancéâ¦
Absolute WORST customer service experience, 3 separate dry clean orders were not done according to his request, 3 weeks in a row. When you ask for light starch and your jeans stand up straight when you hold them sideways⦠it would suffice to say they were not done with light starch. After the 2nd order the person working the front desk, Joe, told him he was sorry, he said well what are you going to do to make it right? He said I wonât charge you for the jeans on your next orderâ¦. Granted we already spend an estimated $1300/ year at this dry cleaners. Getting them done no charge was not the solution, doing them right the first time like their website says they will, would have been the win-win solution. He arrived on Thursday to pick up his order and sure enough the jeans were still heavy starched instead of light. Joe was not working so the girl up front rang up the order (which included items besides the jeans), Todd gave her his card and explained that Joe said the jeans were going to be no charge, because the last two times they were done wrong, and that they are still wrong again this time as well. So she told him she didnât know anything about him getting anything for free since Joe wasnât there. He said well Iâm not paying for them, she would not return his card or his clothes. He said you will give me my credit card backâ¦.. She put the clothes in the back and gave him his card back. This morning we called the corporate office only to find out they have no control over their franchise owners⦠He called the owner, Scott McCash this morning and he flat out wouldn't even let him explain his side of the situation, the owner stated that he had given him enough free orders already, ( WE HAVE NEVER GOTTEN ANYTHING FREE OR RE-DONE, EVEN THOUGH THE ORDERS HAVE BEEN WRONG!!! IF HE WERE TO LOOK IN HIS SYSTEM HE WOULD REALIZE THAT HE IS A WEEKLY CUSTOMER AND HAS ALWAYS PAID REGARDLESS OF THEM NOT DOING THE JOB RIGHT!) He said come pick up your clothes and you need to do business elsewhere..... Gladly, some other cleaners could use the $1300/year in revenue.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER SHOULD A BUSINESS TREAT A CUSTOMER THIS WAY, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES. GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A DYING INSTITUTION!!
Customer Service???: Do not trust your dry cleaning to them!!!
