I bought a Dell Laptop from them and after a few months had a blue screen when loading up. I took it back and for an hour they claimed they didn't sell it to me to a point I was almost doubting myself. Finally they found the purchase and repaired(reformatted after not finding any errors) it for $140. A month later, I had the same problem. That cost another $140. 3 weeks later same problem. I snapped on them in front of a whole line of people when some "geek" discovered that my problem was a bad memory chip. To get it repaired, they had to send it in for 2 weeks(to replace a memory chip?). I went off and told them that this was the 3rd time they have tried to repair the same issue and I either wanted a new computer or fix it today. Amazingly they were able to replace my chip in 2 minutes once I got loud. I have never acted that way in a store, but now I understand why some people do. It was the only way they were fixing it fast and for free.
I paid good money to have the geek squad help me out. I have not had any good results. Also, I paid for a someone from their store to set up my system (including my printer) I cannot even use my printer. I called the geek squad and was told to drive 30 miles to get it set up correctly (when I paid for in house service). I asked the tech what did I pay for and he couldn't tell me. I feel I have been totally wriped off by BEST BUY. No more shopping at BEST BUY!
The customer service dept sucks, you cannot even get through on the damn phone.

I agree too...when you finally do get someone on the other end (which is rare) they are not helpful at at all. I miss circuit city!
best buy has terrible customer service. they keep you waiting on hold and i had to call back three times. when i finally got someone on the phone she was not helpful at all. they need to freshen up on there knowledge. i would never buy a thing from them.
