Engine light came on on the way to work. I noticed the light as I past Mak Haik. I pulled over and had them diagnose the problem. Received an estimate of over $600 to replace two coils and two spark plugs. This seemed high so I called around and found another local mechanic to do the job for $250.00. The servce guy said he would lower his price to $575.00 I told him that I would like to pick up my vehicle. He said that I would have to wait an hour. When I went to pick up my vehicle he said that "I told you it would be an hour." Jo my service advisor had a plate of food in his hand celebrating Thanksgiving. I asked him why I needed to wait an hour and he said that he needed to enter the paper work. I told him to get my keys and give me my truck I also told him that I was pissed off that he was trying to charge me over 2 and 1/2 the times of another mechanic using the same parts. I will never go back to the dealership and that is the place that I bought my King ranch truck.
To the poster below me...Great you sound more than thrilled to have your vehicle serviced there but, next time you do look at the generic oil filter they use and find out what kind of oil they used then get back to me.
I used to go there untill they started using generic oil filters and cheap oil...Hell I can go to jiffy lube for that! But, when I go to a dealership to have my vehicle serviced and they don't use Ford parts something smells bad about that.
I love the Mac Haik Quick Lane Tire/Lube Center!!! Who knew a car dealership offers 20 minute oil changes for around 25 bucks, Even Wal Mart charges almost thirty!! I go to Quicklane, and Joe Rush and the boys get me out in 15 to 20 mins. I also bought a set of tires for about $200 bucks less than a national chain quoted.
