Waffle House

We'll Never Go Back: My daughter and I went to this Waffle House tonight and were met with the rudest, most unfriendly and disgruntled employees that I have ever been exposed to. It began as we pulled up to the building I could see one waitress look at us with total disgust and shake her head, at that point I think I already knew it wasn't going to be nice. When we walked in one waitress, the one who waited on us did say hello the cook was no where in sight. The waitress took our order, delivered our drinks and still no cook in site. The other waitress was making orange drink, slaming equipment around and walking behind the counter saying "I quit, I quit, I quit" without any regard to us hearing her comment. The cook finally showed up and sure wasn't in any hurry to do any cooking. Before she got to work she decided she needed to wipe her nose which she did on the back of her right hand and and then proceeded to put her hand in the white bread bag and then into the raisin bread bag. As she slowly went about her business she sprayed the waffle maker and at this point in time I asked to see our waitress to tell her to cancel my order but she was busy taking an order for other customers so I told the cook to cancel my order and that I would pay for our drinks. Our waitress came over and asked what was wrong I just told her it just didn't seem to be a very happy place and I was going to go some where else to eat. She said not to worry about the drinks they were on them. I thanked her, my daughter and I left and will never go back. I've eaten in many different restaurants and have had some not so pleasant experiences but this topped them all. How sad because my first experience with Waffle House was on a trip from New York to Myrtle Beach and I fell in love with it and have visited many Waffle Houses including this one but never again.
