I unfortunately have used Bloomtastic on several occassions; each one with disappointment. The location of the shop is close, so its convenient, but never again will I use them.
The first time was for a simple arrangement for a staff member. There were holes in the petals and over half of the flowers were wilting (not a hot day, a nice spring afternoon). I called the shop a couple time, never got a return call.
The second problem was I ordered an arrangement from the website and when it arrived, it was nothing like the picture. The website picture shows lots of flowers the one delivered was very sparse and very few flowers. I did speak to someone..."The website does not represent the actual arrangement" - POOR RESPONSE
The flowers are not very good, I'm not a professional, but I have seen better ones growing beside the road.
LOVED the flowers for our wedding and dealing with Heather was truly a pleasure! She was professional, caring, and knowledgable! I would HIGHLY recommend Bloomtastic to anyone that I know!!! =)
We used Heather & Bloomtastic for 2 weddings in 2007 (contracted for the 2nd before the 1st occurred). For the first wedding, corsages fell apart even before the ceremony -- Heather said it was the heat. Ok, I could accept that (it was 90+ that day). BUT the flower poms for the 3 flowergirls were so poorly made that the ribbon to carry them couldn't be used -- the girls had to carry them cupped in their hands. Don't you think a florist would know what weight could be held on a ribbon? So, didn't get the look we wanted there. Asked for a memory bouquet and vase -- it had about four roses and some greens. So we used it with the one rose we had for Mary's statue to give that bouquet some life. Heather talked a good line, but didn't follow thru. When I returned the vases, the reason I got for the poor corsages and poms was the heat.
So what was the excuse in December, snowing and 20 out? Same problem with the corsages falling apart. Plus we were short 2 boutinners. Heather asked why we didn't call -- when it's 30 mins. to the ceremony would she really have had time to make more? Since the flowers were basically dropped, and she left immediately, I think she knew we weren't going to be happy.
Overall our experience was just okay -- not great memories of the flowers for either wedding. When we voiced the problems after both weddings the response was pretty much a shoulder shrug. I hope that attitude changes so she can stay in business, but right now my gut says don't use Bloomtastic.
