Do NOT come here to purchase your firearms! The sales staff is extremely condescending, sometimes appears inept and even shows traces of being anti-gun! Comments such as "Well, I wouldn't have any use for THAT type of gun" (re: a 357 PD Smith and Wesson which they have no use for, but still sell) to "Most serious hunters I know now are moving to archery" (which may be true, and is great, but was spoken in a way to imply that said salesperson disapproves of firearms). This is turning into a pretty camping and cookware store for the Birkenstock crowd. I would urge all serious hunters and sportsmen to avoid it. Also, it is overpriced on a lot of items in the surplus section, which you can easily purchase for less (and the SAME items!) through the Sportsman's Guide. Head down to Sportsman's Warehouse in Loveland and save some money on your guns, ammo, and gear.
I loved JAX and it is so worth stopping in Fort Collins to shop. The Sale and Clearance Shoes were wonderful and the people working on the sales foor are great. I spent to much of my vacation money there, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
This place is the real deal for locals who are just looking to get out there.
