Wayne, the owner is very rude. I had a bracelet made for me and the stones were placed crocked and looks very amuater. I have had watch batteries replaced and links removed from watches. In the current econimcal crises we are facing, Wayne should be appreciative of the business no matter how big or small.I have always get treated with rudeness and as if I'm putting him out with my business. With Waynes tone of voice, body language and sighing of disgust I would NOT recommend this jeweler. I am in the process of finding a jeweler that will treat me with good customer service and is appreciative of my business.

I brought a necklace in to Newcastle Jewelers to be repaired. The "fix" they did was so bad that I have to take it to another shop to be re-repaired. When I explained to them that the work was not acceptable they were rude & basically said I was lying about origional condition of the necklace. I have NEVER had such a bad customer service experience in my life! They didn't even have the pride to stand by their work or to make the situation right. Steer clear of this place!

We've been going to Newcastle Jewelers for the last 6 years for all of our jewelry repairs, too many to count, and to my delight have also purchased beautiful pieces from them. Rings, earrings, bracelets, with much more to see in the store- for me, all in gold with diamonds, a citrine designed ring, more designer rings-stainless steel with gold bracelets, and the rare silver earrings he sells (I don't wear silver so well, but they were too pretty to pass up.) I'm happy to say we're very satisfied and regular customers. He's our special occasion store! Two anniversaries were made quite happy because of their jewelry...and we're not millionaire's either.

My repairs have included very old pieces that some jewelers would never touch either I've found, (vintage, family heirloom pieces) for repair or restoration-but not Newcastle, as his experience is vast. And they also offer estimates for insurance companies on our costlier pieces. For jewelry and all needs of the care that is necessary for maintenance and upkeep, they are a one stop shop.

Their prices are very fair and competitive definitely. I'm sure they can't be beat, and because of their friendliness, fair pricing and guidance with designs of my own creations (well I try) Wayne (owner, along with his wife Joan) have incredible designer and designed jewelry of HIS OWN creations, as he's been in business since 1969.

So they keep us coming back. We're proud to call Newcastle Jewelers our very personal jewelry store, and friends to us, too.
