I have been taking my cats here for the last 5 years. The staff is caring and compassionate. I have also dropped off injured birds and a cat that was run over by a car. Each time the staff has been great about taking them in. One of my cats had to have surgery on his shoulder. I was very worried about the cost, but it was so reasonable I thought they had made a mistake! I highly recommend this clinic.
I took my cat there after getting her from an animal shelter to get spayed. I picked her up a lot earlier in the day than originally told, and when I got there was told that she was not spayed because she was already fixed. But now, roughly 2 months later, I have 5 kittens from my "spayed" cat. Turns out she was not only not spayed, but she was pregnant when we took her to East Main. I am pretty outraged with them right now, especially since they were paid to do a job and did not do it at all.
The best care. Dr Berton actually cares about and likes animals. The staff is helpful. I have taken my animals to see them for years and they have dealt with some difficult issues with my dog and she is finally healthy and happy. They are also very competitive with prices and won't push you into tests and procedures your animal doesn't need

The cat came from an animal shelter with an unknown history. She had an abdominal scar, indicating a previous abdominal surgery, which usually is from a spay. Rather than subject the cat to an unnecessary surgery, the animal was sent home. These surgeries are done at an extreme discount to help the community and save more animals, and the clinic is not paid if surgery is not performed.
