I recently dined at Stella Blues and could not have been more happy with my experience. I was first impressed by the building itself, beautifully restored, has to be 100+ years old. The decor is unique and I even spotted one of my local favorites artwork. Contrary to some other reviews, I found the blonde hostess to be quite pleasant and even noticed her chatting it up with many customers catching up and making sure their experience was top notch. (She did not appear Hitler-like in any way...) The service was quality, the bartender was extremely knowledgeable as well as our waitress who was very friendly. Now for the best part, the food! I had the Cajun pasta and my date tried the bourbon scallops, they were both delicious and one of a kind. The cornbread and sweet potato fries with Cajun mayonaise are also a must (you'll dream about them). Food was well worth the cost and portion sizes are enormous. I also enjoyed the open air kitchen, from the dinning room you can actually watch the chefs prepare your food, how comforting! Altogether great experience, my new favorite place. Oh, and the best tap beer selection in town!

Food is great. I cannot eat spicy food but always get the dill salmon. Fantastic! Sweet potato fries are a must, the best I have ever had. And yes the Blond lady is quite an ornery one isn't she. But she is the owener and quite frankly will do whatever she damn well pleases (I guess). Even her staff is treated like crap (I know some first hand) but the food and atmosphere once past the door is GREAT. I would reccommend this for sure.

I used to LOVE it here, but I have had some awful service her the last few times (I'm 25 and they treat me like I'm not going to pay or like I'm a deviant criminal). Once it started to continue happening I just stopped coming, and came back once with my parents hoping for more respect and my whole tables food was awful :/!
