On Sunday morning my very tiny kitten fell ill and I immediately brought her to the Animal Urgent Care Clinic, Dr. V was the attending Vet and she was amazing. I didn't have much money for extensive treatment but she did all that she could to save my little girl, She went above and beyond the call of duty to help save my precious kitten. She was always honest with me even when the information was hard to take. After I left the clinic on Sunday morning, I was able to talk directly with Dr. V whenever I needed her. I have never been so fortunate to come across such a caring Doctor of any type. I have nothing but kind words for the staff at the Animal Urgent Care Clinic! Thank You for all that you did for my little Ruby!!!
More concerned about the money than the animal....
unfriendly, uncaring staff. We took my mom's dog in after midnight ... 1st thing they said was how much it was for him to be seen (106.00) before asking what the problem was.. he was almost dead in my arms and she said i have something in the back to take care of and left me the dog in the waiting room.
After a few minutes we went to an exam room and they checked him... blood work and xrays... another 120.00 we declined xrays until bloodwork was done...
diagnosis .. not sure but more money could find out.
he was dehydrated and they wanted and IV which would cost another 65.00 and admission to hospital I asked if they could give fluids by injection...so we did... after to infusions he is much better,, but was not pleased with staff at all they care more about the all mighty dollar more than the animals.
ANGELS ON EARTH: One Sunday afternoon our kitten Buddy became very sick, our vet was not in
but your phone no.was one that they had on there emergency calls.
When we brought our little boy in they admitted him right away and showed us the photo monitor that was attached to their computers. The love these people give there animals is overwhelming.
Never doubt how they will treat your pets, just go see for your-self. and you to will say they truly angels on earth.

Oh come on!! Most pets do not have insurance (you do know you can get insurance on pets, right??) so they were just being up front and honest about the cost of care. Basics to POSSIBLY come up with a diagnosis on an "unknown" sickness is blook work (CBC and full Chem panel), radiographs, and urinalysis. "Stabilization" at least includes IV cath, shock fluids, flow by oxygen (if needed), pain meds, or any other meds depending on presentation. The doctors or nurses can not do any of this without financial permission. How upset would you be if they did all of this and then came to you with a $2000 bill? Even with "basic diagnostics" a cause of an illness may not be reached. The pet may need specific blood tests, ultrasound, CT, MRI, or even exploratory surgery. Part of owning a pet is being responsible, and that includes being financially responsible. You can also just do "supportive care" for your pet that night without diagnostics. Take your pet to your regular vet in the morning for further diagnostics (it is sometimes more price effective). However, sometimes the pet needs 24 hour care or a specialty clinic to further care for them. So don't be upset with a business, yes not only a hospital but a business just like human hospitals, for being straight forward with the cost of care. They are there to treat the animal and do whatever medically possible to help the animal. It is not however their financial responsibility to cover medical costs - think about that before you decide you want a pet.
