My boyfriend's co-worker suggested this place. We have been there several times and enjoy it. Huge crab legs, big selection. Basic sushi is decent. Lots of fried and bbq items. Plenty of fruit in the salad bar too. The best part, big drums of real Dryers ice cream that you scoop yourself! Staff is a little rude, but on par for an Asian place.
Being skeptical of "buffet" dining, I tried Crazy Buffet based a recommendation. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the variety and quality of food exceptional. Endless snow crab legs as well as a decent selection of sushi. The tuna sashimi was better quality that many sushi restaurants I have tried in the area. A nice deep red color. There were many tradional entrees and specialty dishes, like salt and pepper frog legs and sauteed clams that were very tasty. Of the dishes that I tried, all were very good, fresh product. There were many asian people dining at this restaurant, which I have taken as a good sign in the past of good asian food. I will be back for more in the near future.
While planning a trip to Phoenix last year, I noticed there is an Ikea in Tempe, and added it to our itinerary. Knowing we would be there several hours (love that store!), I then searched online for nearby restaurants and discovered 2 on the same corner (Priest & Elliot) - a BBQ and a buffet. We ended up going to the buffet, and boy am I glad! For $12 (if memory serves), we were overwhelmed with the selection and the quality! I would estimate there were 50 or more entrees from which to choose, including fresh sushi, crab legs, 3 or 4 different fish recipes and about 6 different kinds of shrimp! The service was average, but that's what you expect at a buffet. As far as returning, we are planning another trip there for my birthday in 2 weeks - JUST TO EAT THERE! Family tradition allows dinner at the restaurant of my choice, and I chose Crazy Buffet! By the way, we live in Henderson, NV, right next to the buffet capital of the world: Las Vegas. So you can take my word for it - it is worth the 6-hour drive! See you there!
