Beautiful open space, attentive service. Nice selection of micro brews & local wines. The polenta with veggies was perfect. The risotto was bland undercooked and dry. Salads were good as were desserts. Though several of the entrees missed the mark, this spot is well worth a visit. I have hopes they'll get more of the entrees dialed in. They seem committed to creating a great dining experience.
Bella Luma and Craig, the owner, are both amazing and a jewel of downtown culture. The atmosphere within the small cafe is warm and inviting and countered by a charming outdoor seating area, where you can sit and enjoy live jazz during the summer months or just watch the colorful array of Petalumans as they pass by. The menu is filled with freshly made focaccia and panini, soups and salads (ask for the special Meg salad). The most savory sandwiches around, you can't beat the fabulous flavor combinations like the Greek with olives and artichoke hearts, or tuna with cheddar jalapeno spread and FRESH tomato focaccia, my personal favorite. The service is personable and fun, the food out of sight. A must stop spot.
I love this beautiful caffe! My whole family loves the food and the service here.......They make me and my son special Vegan pannini's and they are so good! I could eat there every day!
thank you Bella Luma!
