    As a resident of Sonoma I have eaten at all of our local restaurants and I can safely say that "Taste of the Himalayas" is by far my favorite. The location is off the beaten path and yet right downtown, the restaurant itself is quirky and cute, the staff is very friendly and prompt, and the food... oh my goodness the food! Almost every time I go there I order the Saag Paneer (spelling?) an incredible, creamy dish with tiny bits of spinach and cheese cubes (with the consistancey of tofu) and the chicken chikka - another creamy dish with curry and big chunks of chicken. Both dishes can be ordered mild, medium or spicy and each come with naan (perfectly made!) or Tibetan rice and a wonderful pureed lentil soup. Top it all off with a mango smoothie drink that is addictive and I promise this place will be your favorite too!

    My favorite restaurant: This is definately my favorite restaurant in Sonoma Valley. Their staff is warm and welcoming - yet not overbearing. The food is spectacular, and the wine list is excellent. I cant say enough good things about this establishment.

    Wow! Fantastic Nepalese food!: Order the Alu Kauli curry...it's the most authentic curry you'll find from high in the Khumbu. Great service and prices too.
