You know, I really like this theater.

When it first opened it was really popular in the IV, but with the opening of the mall a couple years back, it has died down dramatically. In result, I don't think they take to much care of it anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice movie theater but it is like they don't even want to try anymore, mostly in terms of management and maintaining their equipment.

All in all, I prefer this theater since it is so close to home and tickets aren't so expensive. It's also a good place to hang out with friends.

Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I want to go to the movies today...and was looking for Julia ans Julie...and it´s already in the Mall??? Whats wrong with the Calexico Theaters?? of course I´ll have to go to the mall.

Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: The sad thing is the theater was good a few years back but it was getting most of the people from Mexicali, Calexico, Heber and some of El Centro. Now most people prefer to go to the Mall and make a day out of it. In addition the Press had annouced that the theater had planned to close its doors due to the lack of people and for some reason it hasn't, leaving many people thinking it closed. I know it took me several months to realize it was still open and the few cars in the lot wansn't just people using it for parking. Perhaps if the Valley wasn't so conservative then the theater could specialize with indipendent films that the other theaters do not offer. But what can you do. On the bright side if you just want to go in to see a film and not spend money on extras its as good as any place.
