Went there for lunch, but the food was good. Asked for a tea (hot) and it came 15 minutes later with HUGE amounts of sugar in it. I mentioned it to the waiter and the reply was "that is how we make it". I did not drink the tea, but they still charged me $2.00.
Most lunch buffets of this type that I have been to always give free tea in an air pot and you add your own sugar as needed.
Probably won't go there again as they overcharge for tea and don't make it without sugar.
I've given the 5 stars for the food alone. Service is sometime spotty.
I'd especially recommend the Chicken Vindaloo, which is the best I've every had. Also I'd recommend what they call Deli Chicken on Skewers (or something close to that), which is Chicken Tikki to me. The Saag Paneer is also excellent. I love that they allow you to chose the meat (or vegetable) with each sauce.
The Naan is very good, but I've had better. I haven't tried Pakora yet. I haven't had any anywhere that is truly great, but I plan to try it next time I go to India 4u.
Be sure to make clear to the server whether or not you want the dishes hot or mild. They don't always ask, and you may end up with something mild when you expected hot, or vice versa.
I agree about the high prices, but I live in Antioch and the cost of driving to other good restaurants makes the price reasonable.
Went for lunch buffet. Thoutht $9.00 was to much. I am new in town and the Little Indian on B ST. in Hayward is much better and $2.00 less and they are in the heart of the bay area where operating cost are higher.
I may go back to try dinner to get a better opinion.
