FINALLY! A good place to get asian fusion. RICE offers lots of veggie options, seasonal menu items, and exotic drinks including different Asian beers. I was most impressed with the different types of sticky rice that seemed to accompany each dish. I totally recommend the squid plater, which blew me away! Very VERY tender, and I normally do not care for squid. All in all, every dish our party of 6 ordered was well executed. I HIGHLY recommend this eatery; a very pleasant experience.
Friendly Service Excelent food: A nice blend of traditional Thai, with an innovative Thai spin on American favorites. Everyone in our party of four enjoyed their dishes, especially the seafood which was very fresh. The rice was unusual (held together in a sticky mass by some kind of gelatin), but not offputting. The service was quick and friendly, and the bar well stocked (although the night we were there they were out of my favorite Jever). The decor is warm, elegant and modern. Though the bench seats along the wall are uncomfortable (take the chairs instead).
We took my parents there before going to a play at the Studio Theater, and found the combination to be perfect choice.
Astounding Culinary Experience!: My family of four ate at this restaurant for the first time on Sunday, March 6, 2005, and it certainly won't be our last.
We began by ordering a lot of appetizers, including Papaya Salad, Steamed Dumplings, Pumpkin Empanadas, and Eggplants with Shrimp. They were all incredible! The Papaya Salad was exquisitely flavored, the Pumpkin Empanadas were delicious and unique, the Dumplings were perfect, and came with a very tasty sauce that complemented them well, and the eggplants were seasoned with an incredible smoke-flavor that was fabulous. For the main course, my favorite was the Chicken with Olives. It was served with green sticky rice-- a special rice cooked in coconut milk and sesame seeds. It was truly remarkable and must be had to be believed. Also impressive was the Deep-fried Tofu with its delectable peanut dipping sauce. The Chicken with Lemongrass and the Fried Rice with Shrimp were also excellently prepared and superbly and subtly flavored with many delicious Thai
