    This is one of my favorite coffee spots and it helps that I work nearby. The drinks are always good. The food is good but overpriced. The atmosphere is definitely urban. I prefer the independently and locally owned coffee houses but sometimes the service and hours of operation can leave a lot to be desired. I was disappointed that this place closed at 2 PM on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile the Starbucks closer to home was more crowded than ever. Call before you go just to be sure they are open!

    I know this establishment as Urban Grounds in Kirkwood.
    The coffee is the best in Decatur. Being from Seattle originally,
    I know how a good cup of coffee should be, and trust me..
    this is it!!!

    A fantastic local intown coffee shop! Great service and a marvelous cup of joe. Urban Grounds also offers good sanwiches and pastries as well. Good comfortable atmosphere with a peaceful casual ambiance. It is a must try.
