The Village Inn in Roanoke is one of those little “hole in the wall” places that you just gotta go to. Whether you are going for the full “dining” experience or just want some first class bar food, this is the place to go. They really have figured out how to keep ALL pretension out while keeping the quality in. The menu sports a variety of full entrées including their signature monster Pork Chop, which outstanding. On the sandwich side they have a true original called the “Kong Burger”, a huge cheeseburger with an equally large scoop of Cole Slaw on it. I’ve had this a number of times and it has been fantastic every time. Their fried Pork Tenderloin sandwich is also outstanding and is as big as your head. My favorite along with the Kong would have to be the Grilled Tenderloin sandwich. I didn’t know that pork could be that good. Go try it out, it’s just 12 minutes south of the I69/US 24 interchange right off of 24 on Main St in Roanoke.
