Bluegreen Resort is a terrible place to buy a timeshare from. Once they have made a sale, they have no other use for you. If there is a problem they are not interested unless it will make money for them. COLD, COLD, company!
If you think you're going to get a free vacation, think again. It will either cost you an arm and a leg to buy into the timeshare or you'll receive the "free" vacation certificate (which costs $100) which is nearly impossible to use.
On the other hand, if you are in the market for a timeshare, you can get into the bluegreen points system at a reasonable price if you are willing to sit there for hours and hours and wait until they are desperate enough for the sale to offer you a bottom-line deal.
Bluegreen doesn't offer a lot of exciting resorts of their own. If you want to travel the USA, it's a good choice. So far, we have stayed at the French Lick, Indiana resort and are planning to visit the Aruba resort in 2009. Through the RCI partnership, we also stayed in Orlando, FL. Orlando was very disappointing, but that was an RCI property, so no fault of Bluegreen.
I am disappointed that Bluegreen waited to tell me that the resort in Aruba would be under construction until AFTER I booked my trip. Customer service is lacking.
If you buy into Bluegreen be warned. They have horrible customer service. They will not help you at all if you have a problem or a complaint. Sure, if you want to book resorts or buy more points, they will help. But if you want to voice a concern, complaint, or simply need some “customer service” they will not be of any help.
