This is a very small store front restaurant, but the food is worth the crowding.

They have a hugh variety of sushi - from traditional to modern to local influence. All of it was well prepared and the service was also good.

I highly reccomend this sushi bar! I've been to a lot of sushi bars across the nation and this one by far is my favorite. It is a great place for sushi and non-sushi lovers, the choices on the menu are countless and thier dessert tray never ceases to amaze me.

They say that for every negative review, there are number of unwritten positive accounts.

    This is positive.

I've been an Annapolitan for over 20 years now, and having been to dozens of sushi joints in and around both beltways - capitol and baltimore, I can say that Joss is, by far, my favorite. There have been complaints of the parking and the seating, but I've never had issues with either. There are plenty of parking spaces on the street, and the hillman garage a block away always has a spot at rates far more reasonable than places in georgetown or the inner harbor.

The service is great, and although the restaurant may be a bit more cozy than the standard, it just adds to the ambiance.

Now onto the food. I've had nearly everything on the menu, from the beef negimaki, to the carpaccio, seaweed salade, edemame, to almost every roll on the a la carte paper menu, and each cut of sashimi and nigiri, from the standard western rolls to the escolar (delicious, but beware - don't eat too much - snake mackerel has a limit, or else...). I've never been disappointed.

The price can certainly add up, but it's no more expensive than any other sushi restaurant. The freshness is without peer in this area. For a bargain, try the lunch specials before it closes to prep for dinner.

    A woman from Tokyo - 03/27/09
Their Nigiri rice balls are too small to eat compare to real Sushi from Tokyo Japan, and I was very disapointed.
