| About: | "The atmosphere of Fascino, with its minimalist cream and deep red decor, borders on stark but not casual. The complexity's in the entrees, where flavors, scents and textures fuse seamlessly. Puree of kobacha squash soup with oregano crema and hazelnut oil wins the intriguing appetizer award, and the paper-thin sheets of beef carpaccio with truffle oil and petite salad are a beef purist's dream. Pastas, risottos and raviolis are all available as appetizers or main courses, but the duck breast with confit cannelloni and black fig compote or pine nut-crusted codfish might be hard to pass up." -- Mike Hess, AOL Digital City |

Incredibly expensive, but good: If you don't mind spending $10 for an appetizer, $22 for pasta, and an average of $30 for an entree, then you've come to the right place! The food is good, but the prices are unreal. You can get the same quality food for alot less in Montclair.
Apprentice Tickets: Wonderful service and setting for the family run restaurant.. what the son prepares for your dinner the mother complments with her desserts.

We haven't had that experience . . . the waitstaff has been genuinely involved with the food and helpful in regards to recommendations. In fact when we mentioned to the waitress we would love to bring our daughter who has Celiac Disease, a food related disease that requires a gluten free/wheat free diet, she told the chef. He came out of the kitchen to speak with us about the possibilities that he could prepare for her if we came in with her. The food is consistently wonderful. We like Fascino as much as one of our favorite Manhattan restaurants, Capsuto Freres, and with the BYO policy it's more affordable. A bit of Manahttan without crossing a bridge or tunnel!
