User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI went to Miss Jessie's salon in brooklyn today to get my hair cut and styled and was treated royaly. It cost an arm and a leg but it was so worth it to treat myself. I didnt however get the product I need from them because they didnt have the size, so I decided to go to KNAPS salon and get what I needed. I have always wanted to find out about this salon since I've seen it a few months ago. The salon is cute However the Ghetto Bird receptionist at the front desk totally turned me off from ever coming back. When I entered the salon she was cashing out another guest so she didn't bother to acknowledge me whatsoever, after waiting five minutes for her to finish, she then dryly asked "how can I help you?" (almost like I stank!) I asked for what I need and she then had to go around and ask everyone do they have change for a $20 (my purchase was $10)After five minutes of that she then just handed me my change. Where is the "sorry for the wait" or just "thank you" This totally turned me off..it did not seem like a friendly atmosphere and after coming from miss jessie's I would have to pass on Knaps.This may seem petty but customer service means everything ans when somebody gives you even one cent to purchase something you shouldnt act annoyed about it!

Knaps salon is a pleasure to go to every time around. I am always greeted by the owners, Kecia , Gee and the other stylist. I have locs and Erika is my stylist. I am always pleased with the results. The salon is always playing nice music that just makes the time pass by fast. I am always referring people to go there because I know they will be pleased.

This is the BEST place in Brooklyn to get your hair done. I have been going there for years and Erika is the ONLY person that can touch my hair, she even does my 5 year old's hair!
