We stay @ the resort nearly every year. The tower elevators are a pain however, when you get to your room it is very quiet. We use a company such as Myrtle Beach Management to rent from instead of the resort itself and save hundreds of dollars.The location is very nice and you don't have to deal with as much traffic as on the grand stand. This is a gated resort and people can't just walk off the street like the motels on the strip.
We have just returned from a week in this "Hotel Hell". I can only say, I wish I had thought to check these reviews before. We were assigned a unit in the Five Seasons area. That's the one about half a mile from the beach. We were on the third floor with NO elevator. The unit was filthy and in disrepair. There were holes in the walls, a crack in the tub, a leak in the dishwasher and some of the furniture was held together with duct tape. There was trash under the couch and under the sink. The carpet was so filthy, it turned our socks black. The bedding smelled and was stained. The laundry facility on our floor was closed all week. Someone arrived in the middle of our lunch one day to spray for bugs. (I wasn't very nice to him.) No one on site would take responsibility for anything. The HOA blamed the Resort Rentals and Resort Rentals blamed the HOA. Messages left were not returned.
HELP SPREAD THE WORD. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS AT THIS HELL HOLE.
I own a place here as does my Aunt and my Mom: It's highly secured by well trained police that stay on the grounds 24/7 .The staff is the friendliest you'd ever want to meet . There is a private bar own the grounds called the Crazy Pelican with great drinks and food live bands and dancing . There are four different sections to chose from The Tower , A building , B building and Five Seasons and golf courses and tennis courts on the grounds and a camp ground and not to mention a play ground 6 swimming pools (2 of them inside which is great for rainy days as well as fall and winter time when they heat the pools). This is the place that I've stayed since I was 7 months old and have all my life and thats why I bought a place here because not only is it home to me it's home to anyone on vaction or that lives there full time I personally recommend it to all no matter age you just love this place as much as it loves you ....

I THINK YOU ARE A LITTLE HARD AS SOME OF THESE CONDO OWNERS DO NOT TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR PROPERTY. UNIT 710 IS AN EXCELLENT UNIT WHICH WAS JUST PAINTED AND IT SO BRIGHT AND NICE AND CLEAN. YOU NEED TO CHECK ON THE UNIT AS THE ONE YOU STAYED AT WAS ONE THAT NO ONE TOOK CARE OF AND SHOULD NOT JUDGE THE WHOLE RESORT BY ONE UNIT. THE RESORT IS A FAMILY ORIENTED PLACE. YOU REALLY NEED TO CHECK OUT THE ENTIRE PLACE BEFORE BASING YOUR JUDGEMENT ON ONCE UNIT THE OWNER OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT. THERE ARE MANY OWNERS WHO DO TAKE PRIDE AND THERE ARE THOSE WHO DON'T. YOU NEED TO GET THE WHOLE PICTURE.
