| About: | Climbing down a flight of stairs transports you to this warm, sheltered tavern reminiscent of neighborhood spots that graced the streets in days gone by. Opened in 1997, Black Dog Tavern is a favorite of the younger crowd. Walls painted a warm shade of red bring the mahogany-colored stools, tables and chairs to life. The comfortable setting invites lively conversation and laughter. Pool tables and dartboards are strategically placed to allow some friendly competition without overtaking the bar. The bar features Black Dog Ale from Colorado, in addition to other varieties bearing the tavern's name. Music is another subdued feature: Sunday night features a jazz jam, while thursday is reserved for an open-mike amateur's night. |

yay: black dog = fun times fun times
I haven't been to the new location but I have many memories of the old one off Throckmorton.
-----------------------------
Okay the new location was fun too but now it's closed AGAIN, but I hear it's reopening in a third location on 7th St next to Liberty Electric (tattoo shop) so that should make for more fun times.
miss u: pot roast sandwich, many choices of beer, pool, music, standup......please come back
OK, So I barely remeber the experience!: Great little hang to go and see some local guys jam on Sunday nights. Plus Sunday's are Comics Gym. The locals are pumping funny iron till far past my bed time. Always a fun time... with the exception of the organ harvesting thing.
BTW CaLL B-4 U go.. They have moved over by Pop's!
