My wife and I were at a conference at the Omni, and had seen the sign for Knuckleheads many times in the past, but could never figure out how to get to it. Thanks to GPS we found it this trip. It is in the old Continental Trailways Bus Station. They did take down the segregation signs of the past, but the structure is still sound and intact. The beer is so cold it will make your head hurt if you drink it too fast. The barbque is to die for. The ribs are juicy with the perfect amount of carmelization of the exterior to give an awesome tantilization of the tastebuds immediately upon registering with the neural sensors. The pork was a taste of heaven. Succulent, juicy, moist, flavorful (that would be the hickory and mesquite) is the best way to describe this. The potatoe salad was sweet with a hint of tanginess. The beans were very flavorful with a smokiness gained from pieces of meat added to the mixture. The barbque sauce was good, but not a necessary evil to enjoy the scrumptuous meats served with a smiling face from the cook, and waitress. The air was cool on this beautiful October day as a front had just passed through leaving a cool dry air to enjoy this great meal. Dan Owen
Ok, I was like, you mean to tell me the best Bar-B-Que in town is at a BIKER BAR?! Upon my arrival I was surprised by the pleasant demeanor of the other patrons and the 1940 Flat Head Harley hanging from the ceiling. The bartender took my order and minutes later I picked up some of the best ribs I have had since moving to Texas 15 years ago! Even the potato salad was good and the baked beans were cool, a bit different, they had chopped beef and sausage in them, quite unique! Over all Great Place Great food not too far from Shoreline. TRY IT you will come back.
The Best Barb-que in Corpus: Great place to eat and hang-out. Gotta love the motorcycles.
