UNDER new management. Not a fancy atmosphere but GREAT food at very reasonable pricing. Try the calimari! Their pizzas are very rustic styled with hand chopped veggies, go for the Thomas' speacial.
I was there under the prior management and they are MUCH IMPROVED!
great italian food go to tuscanys: Hello my name is Jeremiah, i have been going to tuscany italian grille in stafford for some time now. This Italian grille is great the food is nice and reminds me of italy where i grew up. If u are in town and want to try out great Italian Cuisine go to Tuscanys italian grille and have a fun time.
Getting worse as time goes by...: My husband and I have been to this restaurant at least four times in the past 9 months. The first time left us impressed with the food (this was last year so I can't recall what we ordered). They served warm garlic bread sprinkled with parmesan which was delicious. The entrees were large and filling.
The next time we went (about 2 months later), we brought along a friend and raved about the food. Unfortunately, it had gone slightly downhill...the garlic bread came out cold and we were not the only table that was unhappy with it (a table nearby complained loudly about it).
We decided to try it again as it is moderately priced and close to our house - this time for takeout. The entrees were overcooked (I had eggplant parmesan) and they forgot to include the side of pasta that it comes with.
The fourth and final time (unless there is a new chef hired), I ordered chicken parmesan and it was awful. The chicken was overcooked, tasted bad, and the marinara sauce tasted like ketchup with oregano. The bread, once again, was cold. One good thing about our meal was the stuffed oysters; they were delicious and hot. Albeit a bit expensive, I'm happy we ordered them since they were edible.
Bottom line: I'm not really sure what is going on at Tuscany. The service is usually pretty good - there is one young man who seems to be a manager - and he is always pleasant and pretty quick. The food has taken an almost complete nosedive compared to the first time we dined there. I will not go back unless they hire a new chef or train the one they have to cook better.
We've never had the pizza or subs but I have no desire to try them out at this point.
What could be a great little family restaurant has lost our business because the food just isn't worth it.
