Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I love this theater! It always has the newest films and is in a great location for me! The staff have been particularly noticeable because of how courteous they are! Unlike many other teen workers they actually seem to be WORKING rather than visiting with friends. Twice I've been to shows that had lines and the staff went out of their way to make everyone comfortable!

Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I am surprised that anyone would rate the Galaxy's Narrows Theater as a good theater. It clearly is a subpar venue.
Don't get me wrong, I attend showings there often, but only because in Tacoma, there isn't much choice to see a first-run, blockbuster type of film.
With the exception of the Grand Cinema, a fine theater but one focused on independent and foreign films, the next closest theaters are in Lakewood or Gig Harbor and sometimes I just don't feel like driving across the bridge.
The staff at this theater are fine and I've never had a problem with them or any other patrons, no matter what movie I'm seeing.
My complaint is with the venue itself. Galaxy acquired it more than a year ago now and have done nothing to improve it. The sound system is several years old, the floors are sticky, the seats are uncomfortable and the theaters have that stale, old-popcorn-and-spilled-soda smell.
The entire theater is in desperate need of a makeover and Galaxy should fork over the money and do this.
I wish they had remained at their previous location near Highway 16. That theater, while having fewer screening rooms, was comfortable and clean. I was very disheartened when Galaxy left for the horrible Narrows Theater.
The only good thing about this theater is the films it shows.
