About:Designed by Dale Chihuly and Arthur Anderson, the Bridge of Glass is an overpass for pedestrians above Interstate 705. The bridge actually connects the Washington State History Museum with the Museum of Glass . The 500 feet long horizontal structure has a pair of crystal towers right in the center, which marks the halfway point of the bridge. Originally designed for showing the beauty of glass in its various forms, the functional value is also obvious; it acts as a connector between the two Washington landmarks.

oh man what an exciing place! not a "typical" museum by any means! it is smaller than i expected but i was not disappointed! the displays are beautiful and their collection is amazing! of course the highlight was the hot shop! make time to sit a while and see the magic happen!

Museum of Glass is Sparkling!: I never realized what a Gem in the City of Tacoma the Museum of Glass is! The displays are not only gorgeous to look at but also often interactive, touching your other senses. There are items displayed ranging from achingly beautiful to shockingly bizzare. Included in the museum is a working glass shop where the artists work and share their techniques. The heat of the ovens and creation of inspiration are quite moving. The grounds include a calm gazing pond fountain, Sculptures and a walkway over I5 with thousands of treasures suspended overhead in a collage of colors, textures and shapes. Surely something to please everyone.
