It's a great one-stop shop. Come by around 7pm for dinner and then stay for drinks and dancing. Then spend the night at the hostel which is part of the restaurant! The rooftop scene is fun. The dishes were tasty but pretty small.
Great Food: The Food is what saves this place. While the decor is to die for gorgeous the accoustics kill any ambiance at all. It is so crowded and loud everytime I have been there. Yes the food is great some of the best SF has to offer but the price is still too high for what you actually get. Service is is also some of the best I have experienced but you can tell who is new and whether or not they will last. I would definitely go there more often if they had better price point and it was a more relaxed atmosphere. Of course they do not have to depend on repeat business at this time because they are packed every night they are open. Perhaps its the Sangria. Honestly one of the most comprehensive wine lists I have seen. Some considerable thought has gone into the menu and its pairing. I strongly recommend reservations.
Cool place to mingle and relax: Medjool is a restaurant and bar. I went there last night and my review is for the bar portion. I think the rooftop on this place sets it apart from the rest. Reminded me of Mission Rock where a part of it is outdoors. On, a good clear night, chill on the rooftop. The rooftop is fairly spacious and is a good place to chill and relax. Last night was packed to the rafters. Only minus for me was that there was only one bar on the rooftop. With that many people there last night, it took a while before we got our drinks. Other than that, its a great place to party, unwind, and relax.
